Birthday.

Movies and videos show days that start of with laughter and infinite wishes, with friends popping balloons and getting cake smeared all over their faces.
Smiles and presents to pass around, and new clothes and shoes to try on.
It's like something taken out of a novel.
But we lead a normal life with a few wishes from good friends.I spend my day with my loved ones and that is all I could ever ask for.

Here is to the quiet ones.

You don't get to choose who your parents are. You don't get to choose what sex you are. You don't get to choose how you look like. But you can choose who you let hurt you. Unfortunately for some of us, we do not have the power to be assertive. We do not have the power to put our foot down. We do not have the power to intimidate people. So we just sit silently, praying that the teasing and mocking will fade away. We seal our lips, hoping that the insensitivity around us will evaporate. We lock up our emotions, knowing that our words won't change anything. But there will come a time, when karma will take its toll, and that is the day we will know we have won.
